One of the newest offerings to Oakland’s vegan dining scene,  @hella_nuts  is a plant based eatery that offers an alternative to current vegan places in Oakland -they are 100 percent soy free and have gluten free options. They just celebrated their grand opening in late September, 2020, so definitely stop by and try them out.

Co-owners Mieko and Kamari started their plant-based journey in 2018. After realizing that available supermarket vegan food was just vegan junk food, they knew there needed to be a better option. No chemicals, no fillers—just natural ingredients. So they started Hella Nuts™.

What makes them extra special? Hella Nuts™ patent-pending walnut meat resembles traditional ground meat. This pre-seasoned, preservative-free & oil-free product can be used for tacos, pasta, burgers, shepard’s pie, pizzas, burritos, stuffed bell peppers & an array of other dishes.
