The Sanctuary: New Black, Queer Boutique Opens on Grand Ave

The Sanctuary Oakland_Queer in Oakland

A new queer, Black owned boutique has opened in Oakland on Grand Avenue in Lakeshore.

Founded by partners Etecia and Stephanie, The Sanctuary is an eco friendly boutique that sells apothecary, apparel and home decor. They focus on sustainable, locally sourced, eco-friendly products, including teas, bath salts and more.

More than just a place to shop, The Sanctuary aims to provide the Oakland community with a space to find peace, engage in healing and adorn themselves and their home with things that make them feel good. This intentionality is even reflected in the shop’s layout, which greets all who enters with a welcoming seating area, inviting guests to pull up a chair and rest for some conversation or a cup of tea.
