Oaklash, the Bay Area’s Drag and Queer Festival, Opens 2024 Applications

The Oaklash 2024 festival will take place Friday May 17 – Sunday May 19 in Oakland.

Calling all SF Bay Area drag, dance, burlesque, DJs, live music and all other types of queer and trans performers: Oaklash, the Bay Area’s Drag and Queer Festival, is now accepting your applications to join the 2024 performance line up.

This year, the festival is gearing up to feature a full weekend of not only  nonstop drag, but artists, music, dancing, vendors and more for a giant celebration of local queer culture.

Beyond creating the largest celebration of Queer and Trans Drag culture around, Oaklash is also proud to offer community resources, including the newly launched Oaklash Disability Fund, a critical support grant for chronically ill and disabled queer performers and makers in the SF Bay Area, and Oaklash’s Skills for Nightlife Accelerator Program, which provides education and resources for engaging professionally in the Bay Area’s vibrant nightlife and performance circles.

Founded by Beatrix LaHaine and Mama Celeste in 2018, Oaklash has featured hundreds of queer performers from the Bay Area and all around the world.
