Bay Area QTBIPOC Artist’s Music Lands First Film Placement

Bay Area musician Sonic lands her first music placement in a film.

Her song Creepin can be found in the film Tripped Up, which is now streaming on Apple TV and Amazon.  “The song Creepin’ is really a fantasy anthem,” says Sonic. “It explores the urge we naturally have as humans to dabble with the forbidden. No matter our relationship status or how loyal we are, toying with the idea of creepin can be intriguing for some, maybe just for the thrill of it all?”

A force of soulful, slow-burning and experimental R&B, Bay Area native Sonic is a singer/songwriter with a unique relationship to sound: she is deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other. The name Sonic represents her distinctive ability to break barriers and transcend the limitations of her abilities through the gift and expression of song.

This is no easy feat, so big congrats to Sonic on her first of many.
